Harris Tweed Hebrides

Harris Tweed Hebrides Ltd teamed up with Robert Gordon University on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership to develop new innovative textile products and facilitate international market access, providing year-round and sustainable business demand for the Harris Tweed Hebrides brand and the network of 130+ self-employed home weavers on the island of Lewis and Harris. The KTP was graded A (Outstanding) and the KTP Associate, Beth Wilson, was shortlisted as Future Leader at the 2022 KTP Best of the Best Awards.

The KTP has been invaluable for Harris Tweed Hebrides. Our KTP Associate, Beth Wilson, has explored exciting product development innovations, improved productivity and built on our sustainability credentials, which will help transform our business for the future. The partnership with Robert Gordon University has given our company access to a vast knowledge base and as the project comes to an end, our relationship continues as we’ve committed to further projects with various schools across the university.
